Industrial Waste Water Online Total Phosphorus TP Water Quality Analyzer
>>Overview
Phosphorus poses significant risks to marine life. Most marine organisms are highly sensitive to organophosphorus pesticides, which can rapidly cause lethality at concentrations that are non-reactive to resistant insects. In humans, organophosphorus compounds inhibit acetylcholinesterase—a critical enzyme for nerve signal transmission—preventing it from breaking down acetylcholine. This leads to acetylcholine accumulation in the nervous system, causing poisoning and potentially fatal outcomes. Chronic low-dose exposure may also result in carcinogenic or teratogenic effects.
This analyzer operates autonomously under field-configurable settings for long-term unattended continuous monitoring. It is widely applicable to industrial wastewater discharge, industrial process wastewater, industrial and municipal sewage treatment plants, and similar environments. Depending on the complexity of on-site conditions, optional preprocessing systems can be integrated to ensure reliable testing processes, accurate results, and compliance with diverse operational demands.
>>Principle
The analyzer employs the ammonium molybdate spectrophotometric method. A mixture of the water sample, catalyst solution, and a strong oxidizing digestion solution is heated to 120°C. Under high-temperature, high-pressure acidic conditions, polyphosphates and other phosphorus-containing compounds in the sample are oxidized into phosphate ions. In the presence of a catalyst, phosphate ions react with molybdate ions in a strongly acidic medium to form a colored complex. The analyzer detects this chromatic change, converts it into a total phosphorus concentration value, and outputs the result. The intensity of the colored complex corresponds to the total phosphorus concentration.
