Volatile phenol Online Water Quality Analyzer
>>Overview
Phenols are categorized into volatile phenols and non-volatile phenols based on their ability to co-distill with water vapor. Volatile phenols typically refer to monohydric phenols with boiling points below 23°C. Phenolic compounds primarily originate from industrial effluents such as petroleum refining, gas scrubbing, coking, papermaking, synthetic ammonia production, wood preservation, and chemical manufacturing.
Phenols are highly toxic protoplasmic toxicants. Low concentrations denature proteins, while high concentrations precipitate proteins, causing direct damage to cells and severe corrosion to skin and mucous membranes. Long-term consumption of phenol-contaminated water may lead to dizziness, rashes, itching, anemia, nausea, vomiting, and neurological disorders. Phenolic compounds also exhibit cancer-promoting effects in humans and mammals.
This analyzer operates autonomously under long-term unattended continuous monitoring based on field configurations. It is widely applicable to industrial wastewater discharge, process wastewater, industrial and municipal sewage treatment plants, and similar environments. Depending on the complexity of on-site conditions, optional preprocessing systems can be integrated to ensure reliable testing processes, accurate results, and compliance with diverse operational demands.
