Cyanide Online Water Quality Analyzer
>>Overview
>>Principle
The cyanide online analyzer employs a process where tartaric acid and zinc nitrate are added to the water sample, followed by heated distillation. Simple and some complex cyanides are volatilized as hydrogen cyanide (HCN), absorbed by sodium hydroxide, and reacted with chloramine-T to form cyanogen chloride. This intermediate reacts with the chromogenic agents isonicotinic acid and pyrazolone, rapidly generating a red-colored compound. The compound exhibits maximum absorbance at 546nm and remains stable within a defined timeframe.
