Product Description

Lead Pb Online Water Quality Analyzer

>>Overview

Lead (Pb) is a highly toxic heavy metal that severely threatens human health. It adversely affects multiple organ systems, including the nervous, hematopoietic, digestive, urinary, reproductive, cardiovascular, endocrine, immune, and skeletal systems, with the nervous and hematopoietic systems being most vulnerable. Critically, lead exposure disrupts growth and cognitive development in infants and children, impairing memory, learning, and neural behavior—severe cases may result in dementia. For children, ‌blood lead levels (BLL) ≥100 μg/L‌ are diagnostic of lead poisoning, regardless of symptoms. Extensive global studies confirm a significant correlation between childhood BLL and reduced IQ.

>>Principle

This product employs the ‌spectrophotometric method‌ for lead detection. After mixing the water sample with a conditioning agent, all forms of lead are converted to lead ions (Pb²⁺). Under alkaline conditions and in the presence of a sensitizer, Pb²⁺ reacts with an indicator to form a ‌colored complex‌. The analyzer detects this color intensity change, converts it into lead concentration values, and outputs the results. The amount of colored complex generated corresponds to the total lead concentration.
